xAI Launches “Grok for Government” with  Multi-Million Dollar DoD Contract

xAI, Elon Musk’s AI firm, has officially launched Grok for Government—a suite of advanced AI tools (including Grok 4, Deep Search, Tool Use, and custom models)available to federal, state, and local government agencies.

DoD investment:

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded xAI a $200 million ceiling contract, enabling use across all federal government departments via the GSA schedule.

This forms part of a larger $800 million Pentagon AI package shared with Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
