Chinese robotics firm Unitree Robotics has introduced the A2 “Stellar Hunter”, a nimble and powerful four-legged robot designed for rugged, real-world use.

Lightweight yet strong – Weighing around 37 kg, it outperforms prior models with enhanced agility and power, making it “lighter, stronger, faster.
Long range & runtime – Can travel up to 20 km on a single charge without payload, and operate continuously for about 5 hours (around 3 hours at full load).
Impressive load capacity – Supports up to 100 kg while stationary and carries 25–30 kg while moving.
High speed & terrain agility – Reaches speeds up to 11.2 mph (11.2 mph = ~18 km/h), climbs 30 cm steps, tackles inclines up to 45°, jumps and even smashes through glass.
Advanced perception – Equipped with front and rear LiDAR, HD camera with LED, arrays of microphones and speakers for sensing and navigation.
Robust autonomy & connectivity – Features 12 joints, 180 Nm torque, 8-core CPU; Intel Core i7 upgrade for Pro version; Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, OTA updates, plus optional 4G and GPS.
Envirnoment Adaptation: Built for challenging environments, A2 meets IP56 water-resistance standards and operates across temperatures from –20 °C to 55 °C.

The A2 “Stellar Hunter” is Unitree’s fastest, most advanced quadruped yet, evolving from a decade of innovation.
Starting with Laikago (2017) for research, followed by AlienGo (2019) with better mobility, the compact A1 (2020), consumer-friendly Go1 (2021), industrial B1 (2022), and AI-enhanced Go2 (2023), each model improved agility, sensors, and capabilities.
The A2 combines the Go-series’ nimbleness with the B1’s strength, delivering unmatched speed, ruggedness, and adaptability for industrial, rescue, and defense missions.
Price & Availability
Unitree has not disclosed official pricing, but early estimates suggest a cost akin to premium quad-robots like Boston Dynamics’ Spot. Availability is “on request” for now.
