Google Launches Personal Styling App “Doppl”
Google has launched Doppl, an AI powered app to try on clothes Virtually.
The app creates a digital version of the user to simulate how different outfits might look in real life, complete with video previews and sharing options.
What Is Doppl?
Doppl is Google’s new experimental app that lets you see how different outfits might look on you using AI. Instead of using a dressing room or guessing from photos, Doppl creates a virtual version of you and applies real clothing images to it, with realistic animations.
Key Features:
It works with tops, bottoms, and dresses (no shoes, socks, or accessories yet).
AI fills in missing pieces if you’re only trying on a single item (like just a top).
Includes a feedback option to help improve results over time.
You can save, share, and explore your try-on looks inside the app.
How Doppl AI Works:
- Upload a full-body photo, or use an AI-generated avatar that looks like you.
- Add photos of clothes from stores, social media, or your camera.
- Doppl uses custom image generation models trained by Google to understand body shape, fabric textures, and natural movement.
- Google says the AI can create realistic folds, drapes, and body fits, even in motion.
Availability
The app is currently only available in the U.S. with Free use (for now), downloadable from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Requires a full-body image, basic clothing photos, and a Google account to get started.
