Meta is expanding its wearable devices with advanced AI features

Mark Zuckerberg is planning to release a lot of new Meta devices in 2025.

He wants to add powerful AI and augmented reality features to products like glasses, watches, and earbuds to make them much more useful and connected.

Below is an overview of Meta’s five key products currently in development.  

Supernova 2

The Supernova 2 is Meta’s athlete-focused smart glasses being developed in partnership with Oakley.

Supernova 2 glasses will have a camera in the middle so user can take pictures and videos without using their hands.

Supernova 2 will look sporty like other Oakley products and will be durable and lightweight frame.

Supernova 2 will have Polarized lenses for outdoor use.

Hypernova Glasses

Hypernova glasses are Meta’s upcoming smart glasses that feature a built-in display on the right lens that can project information into the user’s field of view.

Hypernova glasses has Capability to show basic applications, notifications, and photos, moving closer to providing an AR (augmented reality) experience

It is expected to compete with similar products like XReal Air 2.

Artemis Glasses

Meta’s Artemis glasses are intended to be their most advanced augmented reality (AR) glasses that can add computer images to what you see in real life.

Users could use them for things like finding their way around with precise spatial mapping capabilities.

Users could also Play games, or translating languages with Artemis Glasses.

Smartwatch

The smartwatch will be designed to work together with Meta’s smart glasses lineup.

Camera Buds

Meta is also working on special earbuds with cameras in them, called “Camera Buds.”
